Scared for the Rays

I’m still recovering from the buzzing things that ate my brain during the game at the Marlins last night. Then we lost today. So now the Yankees are a game ahead and if the Red Sox win tonight, they’ll be tied with us. It pains me to say go Dodgers, but go Dodgers.

Then I just checked Twitter, and an announcement about the future of the Rays is coming tomorrow. The tweeters aren’t surprised that whatever it is is coming after we lost first place. So they’re all speculating about what the announcement will be. New stadium? Moving out of St. Petersburg? Hopefully it’s something like that. But another thought is the owner selling. They wouldn’t fire Maddon would they?

I’m a girl, I’m new to baseball, and I’m scared. I don’t know what they might do. I just have no trust in “big wigs”, you know? Now I’ll be sitting on pins and needles waiting for the announcement.

  1. Unless there’s something I’m missing they’d be nuts to fire him. the team is still pretty great and seems to have nice chemistry, and it looks like the guys love playing for him. Unless he wants out there’s no reason to cut him loose that I can think of. My money’s on new park in a better spot to try to get the attendance up.

Yeah I really doubt they’d let him go and I know he doesn’t want to leave and the guys love him. He gets a lot of flack for his quirky ways, but I don’t think they’d fire him. I’m just a worst case scenario kind of girl so my mind instantly went to something terrible. But it’s probably a new home, because they’ve been talking about it for awhile now.

Hey, Just catching up on blogs and I noticed that one of the professional photographer’s blogs I follow did a sports team photo shoot post and guess which baseball team it was for – your Rays! I immediately thought of you. LOL I don’t think he gives complete image descriptions but here’s the link if you’re interested. Scott Kelby’s Behind the Scenes at a Major League Baseball Game Shoot.

(sorry if you get this twice, Blogger died on me the first time, so I wasn’t sure if it went through.)

Sweet!! I’ll have to blog about that. Thanks!

Oh the announcement was just about the new stadium. Nothing new.
