Funny word choices

This is a really cool story about guide dogs in the UK getting matched with young teens. I think its great.

But this choice of words made me laugh:

“Crucial to these youngsters are mobility, independence and life skills. Without them they canโ€™t get around safely on their own and canโ€™t do simple everyday tasks like getting dressed or going shopping.”

Wow, those dogs are cool if they can help people get dressed ๐Ÿ˜‰

  1. Wow, that is fun! Apparently dogs in the UK can hlp them choose fashionable clothes while shoping, too.

Anyway, my name is Taelor, and I am a puppy raiser for guide dogs for the blind. I don’t update my blog nearly as often as you do, but I enjoy reading your posts a lot! Thanks!!!

Haha yes, I thought about making a comment about the shopping too lol. Thanks for the comment, and it sounds like you have more of a life than I do tee hee! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. Love it! Lol, I had someone think I was DRIVING blind and that Sterling (my first pup) somehow helped me do that. I think people just don’t have a clue, and the media never gets all the details right!

LOL!!! That is too funny!! I’m posting little tidbits about guide dogs on Facebook and its amazing how people are so amazed. I’m trying to remember if I knew some of this stuff before I started learning. Hmm.

  5. Wow! And I thought Poppy was a smarty pants (though not as smart as Cabana!) I don’t see Poppy being much help getting dressed, but she sure love to help get someone undressed! Especially if socks were involved. Or something you don’t want to come off, so you are tugging on the other end!

One of my all-time favorite dumb stories happened in a drive through. I was waiting for my Egg Nog shake at Jack in the Box many many dogs ago. The girl at the register saw his puppy coat on the floor on the passenger side and blurted out “Oh my gosh! You’re blind?!?!?” Each and every comment that ran through my head was far too sarcastic to be remotely polite. So, I just sat there and waited for her to realize how moronic her comment was. She then had someone else finish waiting on me ๐Ÿ™‚
