Doggy School – I’m online!

I don’t know how it happened. It has been so grueling and so exausting that I was halfheartedly trying to connect since I got here. Finally I just gave up until Sunday when we have down time, but went to just journal tonight before dinner. It was a really, really hard day. I pretty much cried all day. The morning route was incredible, but then it was hard in the afternoon and I was really tired. At dinner, the nurse sat with us and she mentioned we might have rain tomorrow so that explained it. Anyway, like you all care about my fatigue. LOL! I’m sure you really want to know who Insert is, yeah? Do you?

Carin knows and thank you Carin for posting that post for me. I’m going to post this and then go publish all the comments I have, which are a lot! I can’t wait to see what you all wrote!

Ok, Insert is…a yellow lab male named Jayden. He is 62 pounds and 18 inches tall and he is my mellow yellow hehe! Yep, yellow. And oh so mellow. He was born on July 15, 2008, which means he was in the womb when I went blind. How cool is that?

I have just a little bit written about things so far, but not much. I think over the next few days, I’ll post what I have and then add on and try to catch you all up.

Jayden is asleep right behind my chair. He breathes deeply but rarely snores. He is a match made in heaven! Ok, gonna get this posted now so I can water Jayden in fifteen minutes. I’ve missed you all so much!!!

Oh yeah, Carin and Maddie tied for the pool, and Toby’s raiser is runner up so she’ll get a scarf. Two blankets and a scarf whenever I find time to crochet haha!

  2. Mellow yellow Jayden!! Hooray! I can’t wait to hear more about everything!

You’ve had some nice weather so far, but yep, rain this weekend. Hope you’re feeling more chipper tomorrow.

Yay! Glad you are able to get online – I think we’ve all missed you.
And a big hello to Jayden! At least, I guessed the right name letter. LOL
Hang in there. *hugs* Hopefully it will all get easier (and less tiring) as you adjust to being there and everything.

Hehe I noticed that when I was looking to see who won. You nailed the J hehe!

Heya Toby’s trainer, start thinking about what color scarf you want, and if you want fring 😉

Man, this internet is a bit slower than I’m used to, but so glad to have it back! I Take Jay out to relieve soon and then it’s hopefully sleepy time for me. Have not slept well since I got here. Tomorrow we only work in the morning, so I should have some good time to do some updating.

  6. Welcome Jayden! I can’t wait to hear more about how things are going there.

I hope things get better fatigue-wise. Hang in there!

  7. Yeah Jayden!! I have to find my littermate book to see who he is related to! Congrats! Enjoy him! Can’t wait to hear more about him!

  8. Oh I am so happy to hear you’re going to get some relief. And I’m also happy to hear that I won a blanky! Oooo! I see blind guy cell phone photography in our future…when we receive the prized awesome blanket.

I was glad to be able to post that post for you. Man you should see the list. Everyone’s exploding. How’s Ro? How’s Ro? How is she how is she how is she? It’s cuuute.

I wish I could give you a great big hug. Training is hard. But if anyone can do it, it’s you. You and Mellow Yellow will be the most awesome team ever.

You get some rest. Herm. I wonder if an extra blanket serving as a cushion would help to make the bed feel softer? I slept like a stone there, so I didn’t have to figure out how to deal with the hard bed.

    So happy to see you!

  9. Welcome Jayden!!! Love the name. I can’t wait to hear more about doggy school and the mellow yellow boy. Sounds like a wonderful dog. Hope you get a good night’s sleep.

  10. Hi There!

It is so good to hear that you were matched with Jayden and not the “G” name we talked about. I can’t wait to hear about all of your advetures with Jayden. Try and get some rest! And give that big boy a scratch on the belly for me.

  11. Eeeeeeeeee! So glad you’re online! Welcome Jayden! Man, all I got right was the breed and the color. Bummer. No list pool win for me! (smile) Ah well, he sounds terrific! I’m so happy for you and was on pins and needles all day Wednesday thinking about you. Hope you get used to the bed so you can get some good sleep soon. At least tomorrow is a short day and Sunday is free. Happy doggie school! Give Jayden pets from Pasta and I!

  12. Woohoo Ro! You made it! It is so good to read you! I’ve been checking all week as I’m sure all of your fans have been.

Now I wish I would have taken the pool because I knew his name was going to be Jaysomething. But not jnoi. lol

Can’t wait to read of all your activity!

    (((((Ro)))))

    jnoi 🙂

  13. Yeah! Glad you are back on-line been wondering how your adventures have been going. That is so cool about Jayden! Hope you get some videos of him to show all of us at some point. Good luck with the rest of your training!

  14. Oh and I have a request…if you feel up to it at some point you should share which puppies are training along side you and Jayden. Unless you aren’t supposed to until closer to graduation when all the raisers know their pup is graduating. I don’t really know how all that works.

Maddie I accidentally rejected your comment haha! Here it is, and you absolutely deserve the blanket. It might be a year before you get it though hahaha!

Maddie and Betsy has left a new comment on your post “Doggy School – I’m online!”:

I’m so excited that you finally got online! Jayden sounds like such a good dog and the perfect match for you! And he has a great name! 🙂
I hope you have an awesome time with the rest if your training. I can only imagine how tired you are, but think..It will be so worth it in two weeks!! You can make it Ro!

And I’m really excited about the blanket! I have never won anything. I don’t know if I really deserve it though, I owe it all to Miss Gabrina!

  16. I’m not worried about getting it anytime soon. As long as I have it to curl up with on cold winter nights next winter :).
Besides, when you get home you should be focusing on Jayden instead of crocheting. I really just like saying his name, Jayden, Jayden, Jayden!

  17. Ro

Yeah I really can’t do that. We were given strict guidelines about blogging. It’s not appropriate to divulge the other handlers and dog’s information. I can say I haven’t heard any of the dog’s names before though, if that helps.

Start thinking about what styles and colors you want 😉

  18. That’s okay, I’m not worried about it, just curious. 🙂 I’m sure you have an awesome class!

    I will be 🙂

  19. oh, we could take a pool on the other dogs names. lol I am soooo kidding!

    jnoi teeheehee

  20. Ah welcome Jayden!!! I love the name so cute! Good luck with the rest of your training!!
