Today is the year anniversary of my arrival home with Jayden, yay! Last year’s post is all about the travel day and our first few hours home together before passing out. I remember waking up in the middle of the night thinking I was still at school and oh how comfy my own bed was, and my coffee and B and the cats…what a wonderful homecoming!
My working relationship with Jay really started when we got home, so I’m so bummed we couldn’t celebrate it today. It’s so incredibly windy today that I opted not to work. When it’s that windy, I can’t hear and the wind blows me off balance. I was also exhausted today since the fatigue from yesterday carried over and I didn’t sleep well last night. So bummer, we didn’t work today.
We did however, have a really nice cuddle session on the couch for a few hours. I was listening to baseball and leaned down to rest my head on the pillow. Jay had been chewing a bone on the floor beside the couch, and he sat up and put his chin on the couch like, but there’s no room for me when you lay down! So I patted my hip since I lay on my side on the two seater couch and told him to come up. He was apprehensive at first, but then he jumped up and curled in the spot between me and the edge of the couch, squishing me between him and the back of the couch. It was sooo cozy and I just dozed with him there for awhile.
So it’s been a relaxing day which I know I needed, though I did want to work him today.
Home a year!
