Baseball Blogosphere

A few weeks ago, I was checking out the page load activity on my stat counter, and I discovered a few hits from a post on the Rays Index blog. I wondered why people would be coming to my blog from there, so I clicked the refer link and was quite surprised. It was a post written about the post I wrote about wanting Evan Longoria’s hand. At the time, I decided not to write about this, but the time has come to share how I found the blog in the first place, because I found another blog through that blog. Confused yet?

Of course I bookmarked the blog post written about me so I could go check the comments from time to time. This morning I decided to spend an hour or so reading the current posts, and I found a post about a baseball wives blog. I went over to check it out, because a lot of the wives are married to current and former Rays.

I talk a lot about Evan Longoria, but I have to mention my favorite pitchers, Wade Davis, David price and sometimes Matt Garza, though I can’t figure him out half the time, which is actually part of his appeal.

Well, on the baseball wives blog, Wade Davis’ wife Katelyn, is a contributor. She’s only written two posts, but you have to go check them out. She is absolutely hilarious!! I haven’t laughed this hard reading a blog post since something on the Comet had me rolling.

I was able to comment, though the woman who runs the blog has both comment moderation and CAPTCHA. Yikes. Guess she’s afraid of spam.

I just love that I found this and that Wade’s wife is a contributor. I really think Wade is one of our best prospects for the coming years and I really hope we get to keep him. I’m really impressed with his performances so far.

So, if you’re curious about the wife of a baseball player, go give them a read. They’ve got interesting posts about moving in a hurry, traveling, all sorts of stuff. I really think I found a gem in the blogosphere.

  1. I was wondering when you were going to mention them writing about your hand want. Man, it seems like forever ago that all of that happened.

The wives blog sounds interesting, I’ll be sure to check it out.

and I have to ask, which post of ours were you talking about when you say something on the Comet? Just curious. If it’s not one of mine that’s fine by me lol.

The last time I laughed so hard I cried was a ‘you are here?’ post. Those get me every time.

  3. Ahh, so odds are it would have been one of mine then. sweet!

Wish I could tell you there’d be another one coming soon, but good material has been hard to come by lately.

Oh, and is there an update on the hand?

Nope, there was only one more comment on the blog and it was just about a tshirt.

Carin gets me rolling with the Trixie posts, but there haven’t been any of those either haha.

  5. Well, Carin and I are batting around some ideas for a new one, so there might be one sometime soon depending on when she puts it together.
